Is Eating “Healthy” Really That Hard?

Yes and No, but let's dive into this and figure it out together.First, we must define what “healthy” means. Why? Because everyone's frame of reference for what “healthy” means is different. And none of them are wrong, in their own minds. Needless to say, it's a subjective topic, and almost like talking about religion, you’d just rather not….But here goes! #1 Eat real foodAnything that has a label with an ingredients list has been manufactured to some extent. You don't see lettuce or tomatoes having an ingredient label. The package of chicken or beef has no ingredients label. If it does then it has been tampered with, changed or modified in some way. (there are different levels of modification, another topic altogether, click here)A balanced daily meal plan. It's simple. Too much of a good thing is no longer a good thing. I.E. You can die from drinking too much water….(to be extreme) But we live in a society of extremes, so this is challenging for most.If you don’t have a plan, then your chances of success are almost nill. Don’t know how to make a plan? Schedule a nutrition coaching session to get help making one.K.I.S.S.Keep it simple stupid. There are enough things in our lives that are already complicated. Take the pressure off and focus on those two simple things. You will be amazed at what you will learn along the way and how much better you will feel. Your wallet will thank you too!Written BySteve Grant
